If you have 10k+ followers and you got those followers by posting fanfic - to the point that I know your favorite Dramione fic without us having a conversation - and you’ve sold stuff to those followers I’m gonna go ahead and not take your opinion on fic to pub seriously. You got that bag too bestie

I’m so very proud of this bind of Remain Nameless by @heyjude19.bsky.social - I thought of a postcard bind and couldn’t get it out of my head. Designed in Canva by me with no AI. I gifted a copy to a friend and kept one for myself 💙. Never pay money for fanfic - this fic is on ao3.

Even wilder - I have seen at least one bookbinder, who has bound at least one fic using art by an artist who did commissions, who is now bitching about fanfic to publish 😵‍💫. Videos are still up. And I GET IT if people don’t want to support fic to pub - I’m just saying don’t be a hypocrite

I get that you wanna be a “book toker” now but idk maybe come down off your high horse and prove you’re not in the creator fund 👀. Also you can delete Dramione videos if you’re so against fandom monetization 🤷🏻‍♀️

That’s why I never engage but I just got so annoyed when they started with “this was fanfic” and then they said it was juvenile and I’m like “what fucking book did YOU read” lol

This is all riddled with typos - I have a baby in my other hand and that’s on multitasking 😜

I think my two cents for today is that we need to be careful who we listen to on the internet. This person has ever right to review this book but we read two VERY different books if she said “I BELIEVE” - it very clearly ends unresolved 🫠

Cara: this didn’t start as fanfic - it’s an original story Creator: Yea looking into a bit it seems the author might have done some other fics and then published this book that has some similar tropes! Cara: She wrote Draco Malfoy and the mortifying ordeal of being in love. It’s a Dramione fanfic on ao3 under isthisselfcafe. That’s her only fanfic -also has enemies to lovers and banter (so I guess they’re similar?). Also Irresistible Urge is going to be a duology, so this is one of two books.

And this isn’t a dig at that creator but more a general thing this was the first time I tried to explain something. Also why was my comment what prompted “research”. Also they say “I believe this is the first book on the series.” I’m sorry - you BELIEVE?

Someone on TikTok talking about Irresistible Urge: “This book used to be fanfiction. You can tell by the banter this used to be fanfic.”

I know the publishers did these guys dirty but MY GOD why does everyone feel the need to make videos when they don’t know everything (1/2)

I find it interesting (disturbing) they’re dismantling government agencies in charge of food, education, and health but they’re giving a lot of power to the FCC

This isn’t in response to anyone in particular but if you’ve grown a sizable following by posting Dramione binds/reviews/content and then want to bash fanfic authors (who REWRITE their fics) for getting publishing deals etc maybe take a look in the mirror. Also I hope you’re not monetized 😬

I make it once a week every fall to winter! I just clear out whatever veggies I have in my fridge and add a cup of lentils 🧑🏻‍🍳. It’s so comforting and yummy!

I’m watching peoples le creuset ftt hauls and I’m shocked at how much stuff ppl bought that you can find in better quality elsewhere (and cheaper). Like - they are known for their enameled cast iron and people went and got cookie sheets. Anyway I got this pot and made lentil soup and rolls today 😘

13 June, 1943 (5th year) The small tiles on the floor dig into Tom’s kneecaps and palms.  He heaves gulping breathes of air, his body still shuddering from aftershocks of pain and he feels decidedly out of control. Something that is unacceptable to him. He looks down at Myrtle’s body, lifeless and gray, and attempts to catch his breath.   He decides, right then and there, that he will never purposely put himself in pain again.  Even protecting a part of his soul is not worth this cost.   He had thought, in retrospect - rather ignorantly - that the process would not cause him physical pain.  But now, as his breath begins to slow and the spasms in his body start to dissipate, he realizes how wrong he was, realizes that he is too smart for this type of pain. 

om raises his palms off of the tiled floor and turns them over, inspecting the grout lines molded into his skin. He picks up the diary from where it lays next to the girl and pockets it.  Myrtle’s body is still warm - and Tom, ever the resourceful one, takes a knife from his robes.  He palms the steak knife, one taken from the great hall dinner service that cannot be traced back to him, and moves himself to behind Myrtle.  He figures he might as well keep the Basilisk out of this whole mess.  He props Myrtle up against his chest and cuts her wrists toward herself, making sure to wobble his hand on the right wrist.  He thinks this is fitting, a sad muggle-born girl would kill herself in the most muggle way possible.  Though a slicing hex would be the most innocuous spell on this wind at present.  Tom removes himself from behind her and props her up against the sink and backs away, making sure not to disturb the pool of blood gathering underneath her.  He makes sure he has left no footprints or evidence of his presence, taps his pocket for his diary, makes sure the chamber is secure, and exits the bathroom.   He quietly casts simple spells - leviosa, lumos, nox, expelliarmus, accio, on repeat - the whole way back to the Slytherin common room.

Happy WIP Wednesday. Will this bitch ever stop fiddling with this and post it? Who knows 🤓
