yep. You gotta take the date of the publishing into account. It's like you have to be a detective and I didn't sign up for this.

It’s like when I try and search for vintage neon or actual metal signs and everything is plastic tube or that Hobby Lobby faux-patina bullshit

I really hate seeing AI generated "retro" & "vintage" images.

It just pollutes the vintage reference image databanks.

Please don't use AI - especially for generating fake AI bullshit vintage/retro imagery. There's plenty of already cool & real vintage stuff out there. Find and share that instead.

Oh yeah, I've found countless gorgeous Victorian shopping centers in the UK. They are the ones that actually led me down the rabbit hole.

Leadenhall Market is what first caught my eye:

So I've been digging around doing research on Victorian shopping malls - would y'all like to see what I found?

This one is probably the most most breathtaking one IMHO.

Just so everyone is aware, as a promotion in 1984, Wendy's produced terrifying, photorealistic carboard masks of Clara Peller, aka the "Where's the Beef?" lady

This just triggered a long-forgotten memory of how kid me was kind of entranced by the interior shots of the bottle. Maybe tied to my love of conversation pits and pillow forts?
