We liked living in Victoria, BC except for the Wolf Spiders, which are just as scary as they sound.
Actually they eat other bugs so good, I guess, but I was always horrified by them.
Especially after one woke up my husband one night by the noise it made on our ceiling..

Get as hydrated as you can before you get IV or blood draw again (I know, not always possible).
Tell all future nurses etc about your vein difficulty.
& if you have a choice, pick a nurse with ER experience - those ones are absolutely expert at starting IVs.
