I should also now add that the Supreme Court over in the US deemed the IEEPA based tariffs were unlawful on the 20th (water is wet and we all knew this from the beginning etc.)
Those duties have been removed as of February 24th but Donald Dump threw a fit and implemented a 10% tariff in its stead which is now active. An increase to 15% has been announced but not signed in yet.
I thought 10-15% was all we were getting but I'm seeing an additional 16.5% MFN duty on some of my stuff...
It's really frustrating to see IEEPA tariffs under the 1974 act struck down only for more under the same act to come up in its place (and then MFN stuff) but I'll take 26.5% over the former 35% on Canadian goods any day.
Until it goes up to 31.5%
My art prints are tariff free however as some good news!

I use a little dab of liquid latex on the bottom of the paws before the dunk in clear glaze, it peels off afterwards so incredibly helpful! :)

Two digitally illustrated shrimp on a pink background, facing eachother with silly, googly looking eyes. A heart sits above their heads and their bodies form a half heart.
Text above them reads "will you be my shrimping-tine?"
rather late on sharing this but that's ok!

I've done quite the amount of commissioned work in the past but my current work schedule surrounding markets and other events only allows for a handful a year so I have them closed for the time being!

The same ceramic sphinx in the last post now digitally illustrated.
In the top panel it sits with a giant grin, speaking. The text reads "A man in a car saw a golden door, a silver door, and a bronze door. Which door did he open first? The car door!"
Bottom left it goes flying through the air, mouth open in a snarl. The text reads "Riddle failed! (Mind you they are the size of a kitten, don't worry about it). Bottom right shows them curled up on their back, blissfully relaxed, eyes closed for a nap. The text reads "Two minutes later". Scattered throughout the illusration are three small, simple doodles, looking up in wonder at a flowering plant, on its back, legs sticking straight up with a frustrated expression, and the last one; tail high with a happy smile.
I've been so tickled after making the ceramic sphinx in my last post that I couldn't help but draw them for some fun this weekend :)
