Stretching the limits of my camera lens as it remained stubbornly distant, but good to see a Hobby back at Walmsley. You can just make out an unwitting dragonfly in the bottom right corner about to be on the receiving end of those talons.

Privileged to witness a pair of peregrine's hunting linnets right in front of me this evening.

Wren and Sedge Warbler in-between the torrential downpours at Middle Amble today. Also the first Swift I've seen this year, far too agile to track and capture.

Good number of Wheatears on Davidstow airfield this evening, with a plentiful supply of grubs.

A trip "over the border" today in search of the Pied Flycatcher. One or two around but elusive. Plenty of Willow Warblers and Chiff Chaffs calling.

Plenty of Willow Warblers and Chiff Chaffs singing at Treslea Downs this lunchtime. The gorse is looking incredible at the moment, a sea of yellow. However a Coal Tit proved the most photogenic of the locals.

One Red Legged Partridge on Chapel Amble road this evening.

A quiet afternoon at Davidstow Woods today. Not helped by the tree felling in progress. The siskins seemed oblivious to the mayhem however.

Chiff chaff announcing spring, Chapel Amble. As a keen cyclist I've noticed a lot of "chiff chaffing" on my recent rides. They're certainly here in abundance.

Nuthatch, Golitha, Friday evening. Literally anything that moved was a Nuthatch.

Birding can be a frustrating hobby when you're tied up with work while seeing all the interesting stuff drop in and there's nothing you can do about it. So a concerted effort this morning to join in the Hoopoe party.

The enigmatic Crossbill, definitely one of my favourite birds. Photo bombed by a Siskin. Conscious it's their breeding season so location withheld.

Finally caught up with the Green Winged Teal at Treraven today. A handsome boy for sure.

For once a Crossbill that isn't silhouetted against the sky, courtesy of today's golden evening sunlight.

A handsome Skylark posing for its portrait today at The Rumps. Lots calling around and about.

2 Glossy Ibis still at Bude Marshes this morning but poor lighting.

A little late to the party but caught up with the juvenile female Long Tailed Duck at Newquay boating lake today. Showing well on the main lake.
