For such a minor matter, the wheels of Finnosh justice have turned very story. It surely can't take more than 18 months to decide whether to press charges or not. Slow justice is also poor justice.

Food couriers are recognized as employees | Tuomas Tammisto | Tampere Universities I am a socio-cultural anthropologist specializing in environmental anthropology and political ecology.

This is an important decision: food #couriers in #Finland recognized as employees by the Supreme Administrative Court.

Couriers were overexploited and this decision hopefully improves their situation. However, many couriers suffer from the harsh immigration regime too.

I say this because I think such history is essential for understanding how politics actually works. I also think that such understanding is much more important than whether or not you hold all the "right" opinions on any given topic.

You could start by reading Chapter 10 of Marx's Capital on the history of 10 hour working day.

I really wish more people who consider themselves broadly on the "left" would read history. Specifically, the history of the movements that forged so many of the values now held by the center left.
