Back to the present, Dave is shown in halfbody looking down at the jar with deeply faded colors and a grayish-purple background. He stares at it with a blank/dead expression. Dave: oh. In the panel below, he is rendered as a zoomed out black silhouette with only his lightly squinted eyes visible. The space around him is swirling darkness, making distinct objects fuzzy and hard to discern. The proceeding panels are equally fuzzy/desaturated. It cuts to Bambi downstairs sitting in the kitchen speaking in faded, blurry dialogue: Bambi (Ashcan BB): THERE YOU ARE! What took so damn long? Did you find the game?? Dave wheels past, not looking at him. Bambi squints at him. Bambi: What is that? Another large halfbody panel shows Dave looking very tired/troubled staring directly ahead of himself, holding the can. There are faint snowflake patterns in the dark background behind him. Bambi: ...Wait. That's the ghost pepper flakes!!!!!! Bambi laughs loudly pounding on the table. The colors snap back to normal saturation and Dave is rendered in gray with his brows furrowed. In the next, he glares at Bambi, yelling "WHAT." Bambi: Don't you remember?? That's how we met!! Wow, you were so funny. Dave (covering face, sweating): oh *god*. Bambi: What??? Dave: don't remind me. he was so fucking embarrassing... Bambi: 'He?' Who?? Dave (small text): ...me... Bambi: What! You were the best kid I ever met, helping me like you did. Dave (head down on countertop, hand on head) seriously? Bambi: Why you surprised?? You think I hated you back then, too??? Dave: No! It's just... ...geez, it's been so long, I'm trying to remember... The dialogue bubbles fade out into a starry night sky.

A flashback commences showing Dave in a corn maze a long time ago as a teenager. He looks quite different from his present self, though still using a wheelchair. He has much longer brown hair reaching around chin-length with short spiky down-facing tips and a slight curl on the ends. He has bangs that cover part of the right side of his face. It's not too dissimilar to an emo haircut. He has black fingerless leather gloves, a grayish-tan watch on his left arm, a brownish-orange Linkin Park t-shirt, and blue jeans with rips around the knees showing he has simple prosthetic rods underneath. His pants cover these prosthetics and give the appearance of him having no feet. He's fidgeting with a shark tooth necklace in his left hand, and behind him a ferris wheel can be seen. Dave (04b_19): So much quieter here. ...Geez, it's really getting dark now. Dave rummages around in his pocket and pulls out his phone, turning on its flashlight. It has a different case than his present phone; it's bulky and angular with a gray-black coloration and bright orange highlights. He shines the light on the maze in front of him. Dave: Hellooo everybody my name is Markiplier and today we're playing HAUNTED CORN MAZE.... of DEATH and MISERY. Few enter this forsaken place and live to tell the tale. Dave (wheeling forward, mischievous grin): You see, this game. Is one of the games of all time. Uh huh, you heard me right. And my viewers have been BEGGING me to play this top-notch horror experience since before I was even born. Dave: And in the wise words of my- Dave is interrupted by the sound of footsteps. He freezes and the background around him turns gloomy. Dave (thinking): if someone heard that im killing myself

A silhouette rushes past Dave and startles him. The person reaches for a corn stalk. Dave: Hey!- Woah, hey, uh, whatcha doin there, bud? The person rips off an ear of corn. It is revealed to be Bambi in the next panel, who grips it fiercely with an enraged expression: Bambi: PAYBACK. THEY STEAL MY CORN, SO I STEAL IT BACK. Bambi looks largely the same as his present self, albeit with two faded scars on his face and a collared long-sleeve shirt with a checkerboard pattern of green and lime-yellow. The sleeves previously hid the fact he doesn't have arms, but he pulls one hand out of its place to stuff the ear of corn inside the sleeve. Dave looks bewildered at first, then yells: Dave: HELL YEAH, dude! FUCK those guys!!! Can I help?? Bambi: SURE. Dave: Man, it's been a while since I've gotten into any good mischief- Dave then notices that Bambi has floating hands. A comical display of imagined orange-and-gold computer UIs covers his hand with the title "dAVE VISION V. 1.0.51", "analyzing" the properties of his hand. The text on it reads: WARNING: ANOMALY DETECTED (repeated in the background) ERROR: SUBJECT'S HAND DEFIES THE LAWS OF GRAVITY...? Tristan, thinking: "Hmm... but sometimes he stays over past my bedtime and Dad doesn't let me stay up even to hang out with him... And the elevator is loud so he'd hear me if I tried to go back dosnstairs and then I'd get in trouble... So how do I get down to see how Bambi gets home?" In the next panel, he's thinking, "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" Tristan, thinking: "Wait! I could try to see how he gets here! I can go outside and-- yes!!! Perfect!!" Tristan, out-loud: "YAY!!!!!" 25 minutes pass as a, "25 minutes later..." caption is stated. Tristan is looking at a clock, awaiting for Bambi's arrival. Dave gets over to Tristan.

Page 4. Dave is smirking, "You sure are eager today." Tristan: "I'm just- Heyyyy!!!!" Dave ruffles his hair. Tristan: "Hehe- I'm just excited to see him!!!" Tristan, thinking: "...and get down to the TRUTH!!!" he's doing the post where he's holding his chin between his thumb and index finger. Dave: "...Are you scheming something?" Tristan's face froze: "eh------" Tristan: "NOOOOO" Tristan, thinking: "CRAP!!!! I'M SO BAD AT LYING!!!" Dave: "Okay buddy what are you scheming" Tristan rushes out of the house: "Immmm scheming to go outside right now!!!!" Dave: "Pff- okay?" The next panel shows a shot of him opening the door but he's too short so the frame cuts to his eyes. Shot of the whole house from the top view as well as the front and back yard. Tristan: "Bambiii!!!"

Muko and Christel are drinking at a bar — Christel with an ambiguous bottle in hand, Muko with a few empty shot glasses beside him, a filled one right in front. After Muko finishes rambling about a crazy incident he and Dave had at his lab, Christel breaks down into laughter. Eventually straightening up, she comments to Muko, "Ohhoh, man, I swear! You n' Dave r' always up to the craziest things!". Muko leans back into his seat, accidentally knocking over his 4th shot glass and spilling the contents on the counter. About to drabble on about another of his misadventures, Muko accidentally blurts out, "Heh! Just wait until i get to the [late genetic clone of myself who's vengeful spirit keeps me awake at night]". Christel stares at him blankly, processing whatever he just said. "Yeah, heh..! Err... the what now", she mumbles. Muko stares at the camera in jpegged shock. Hard cut to a depiction of the death of Gerta, the previously mentioned clone. Muko stares into a dark room from right outside the doorframe, the lighting covering his body in shadow save for his glasses. In his own shadow, shaded by rim lighting, lies the deceased body of Gerta; her square, shattered glasses have fallen off of her face and her mangled corpse lies awkwardly on the floor. One color highlights this monochrone scene, however — the burnt orange of Gerta's eyes, that bore into Muko for the similarly colored axe he holds behind his back.

( vs. Dave: Dimensional Deep End ) A drawing of Muko, colored in a monochromatic periwinkle shade. This is based off of the DDE side comic “JUNE, 2010,” created by Statictigers. Muko is drawn sitting on a sofa with a weary expression; it is implied that he's staring at a tv that is not in view. He has one hand rubbing the other arm. There are two pillows that are each placed on both of his sides. Moreover, a blanket is partially covering the backrest of the sofa. There's a small round robot that is holding a broom on the right side of the sofa ( following the viewer's side ). Furthermore, two robotic arms can be seen in the background with its arms outstretched from the ceiling. The robotic arm on the left is holding an air freshener spray, while the arm on the right has nothing, but it's implied that it's drawn moving somewhere. Lastly, there's a picture frame of Harris, Muko and Dave hung up in the middle, between the robotic arms. However, the characters are only drawn as simple silhouettes. Despite that, Harris' identity is covered by the light reflecting from the tv.

( vs. Dave: Dimensional Deep End ) A fully colored and rendered art of Harris, Muko and Dave when they were kids, referencing the CHRISTMAS 1999 photos in the DDE game files. All three characters are drawn on a sofa that has two blankets partially covering the backrest, the one on the left side being red while the other is pink. Muko is drawn in the middle, smiling at Dave who is grinning at him back. Dave is drawn on the right side of the viewer's pov, he has one arm resting on top of Muko's shoulder while the other rests on his side. For Harris, he is drawn on the left side of the viewer's pov, his arm linking with Muko's whilst sitting on his knees on the sofa. Moreover, there's a black square covering Harris’ face; this is to hide his identity in this artwork.
