Probably cost. Those tiny wireless lapel mics are like... 30-50 bucks for 2 and the receiver.

A more professional on ear microphone is probably starting at 120 or more for 1 and maybe a receiver, and ya need a PC usually or a dedicated sound recorder.

They don't sound as good unless ya hold em like that. Especially when in a noisy environment. I have a few myself.

Yesterday we broke a record of the most people at a Wawi Wednesday meetup yet!

Right around this photo, we had about 37 people in the instance! My poor PC was huffin' but it made it!
