Although I use Bluesky mainly for science, I think some of you might enjoy some of these more nerdy comics. Some examples uploaded below. Check out the link for more!

In summary, the peninsular India plate experienced βidiosyncraticβ biotic diversification. These insights into how past climate and habitat stability influenced biotic diversification can prove crucial especially under today's climatic crisis.

And, the remaining 16 groups had quite dynamic diversification trajectories due to non-uniformities in speciation and extinction rates across time, influenced by global paleotemperature and mid-Miocene intensification of aridification and monsoons.

Furthermore we inferred a prevalence of gradual accumulation of species diversity in the peninsular Indian landscape in 17 out of 33 groups, suggesting important role of habitat stability in tropical ecosystems.
Continued 2/5
We found that there's immense disparity in diversification rates across these groups and more closely related species share similar diversification rates. Additionally the age of a group was found to strongly govern its diversification rate.
Continued 1/5
In this paper we explored diversification dynamics (overall rate and temporal patterns) of 33 endemic groups of animal and plant species from peninsular India.
The first Chapter of my PhD thesis is finally out in Ecology Letters. Here's the link to the article - onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10....
