This is the story every damned day in Chicago. Every day they rip dozens of people from their families, entering people’s properties without warrants, damaging people’s properties. They don’t even really care about documentation if they are “convinced” you are undocumented by what you look like.

ICE in Chicago detained two people (that we know of) for filming them today, a cyclist and a neighborhood rapid responder. This in addition to tear gassing another neighborhood and brandishing weapons at rapid response—both things that have also already been going on for weeks.

Illinois needs to follow suit. What’s been happening here in Chicago is disgusting and such a violation of human rights, in addition to, well, the law.

When is it time for Illinois residents to stop paying federal taxes. If they aren’t living up to their responsibilities, why do we continue to pay the funds that they are supposed to be using for infrastructure projects such as this and other federal responsibilities?
