It wasn’t perfect, but the Fairness Doctrine at least required broadcast stations to present contrasting viewpoints on controversial issues. The idea wasn’t to declare a “truth” but to give viewers exposure to more than one side and let them think critically.

If we had a law in this country requiring news broadcasts to tell the truth, we would never see another pile of shit like trump ever rise to power.

I still don't understand how folks continue to not give Judge Cannon the blame she deserves for bigfooting the Trump case as extensively as she did. She did more to help Trump skirt justice than anyone not on the SCOTUS bench

At least she did something that can be appealed to the 11th circuit: Judge Cannon permanently blocks release of the Jack Smith second volume on the Trump prosecutions.
