Any time a bird looks like it is an umbrella, something is wrong.
The wings and tail are not fused together into one contiguous circle on real birds.
Depth of focus means the whole animal shouldn't be perfectly in-focus like a painting. all-in-focus images may be AI.

"The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

I had a narratively coherent dream last night. So coherent, in fact, that I remarked upon its logical consistency while in the dream itself lol

The refusal was in line with the department's longstanding practice to withhold footage from the board
until the department's internal investigation was over, a process that often takes more than a year. Such delays can effectively
torpedo the review board's investigations: Under New York civil-service law, any disciplinary cases against police officers must
be brought within 18 months of the incident.
This September, the police judge overseeing
the Trawick case recommended that there should be no discipline. Her reason had nothing to do with the shooting itself; in fact, the judge wrote that she had "serious doubts" about the decisions of the officer who killed Trawick. But the review board, she said, had failed to file charges within the 18-month statute of limitations, as outlined under state law. In the end, the department's refusal to give the footage to the review board had effectively run out the clock on any chance
the officers would be punished.

When the investigators asked why the two officers did not broadcast that Richards was an "EDP" β or an emotionally disturbed person - with a knife, as protocol dictates, Murphy told them he and Fleming had handled people in crisis before. Asked why they made the decision to use force, Murphy
simply said, "We wanted to, like, end it."
neither Fleming nor Murphy would be punished for killing Richards. Instead, the
commissioner docked them three vacation days for something else they did: stopping for pizza before responding to the call for the wellness check. (O'Neill did not respond to
questions or requests for comment.)

The reporting reveals that without further intervention from city, state and federal officials and lawmakers, body cameras may do more to serve police interests than those of the public
they are sworn to protect.

software. Los Angeles has spent nearly $60 million since getting cameras in 2016. In Philadelphia, where footage is rarely released, the cameras have cost taxpayers about $20 million. New
York City has spent more than $50 million.
Defund was about taking this money and putting it into the community.
Imagine 60 million for low income housing, or food insecurity, or after school programs
Tell yourself honestly which one you think would be better for the community

Iβve had this discussion on here before so I want to clarify:
This applies broadly, not specifically. Iβm not talking about anyone with a brain injury that affects comprehension or about anyone who *can* read difficult literature but prefers light literature.

Im not even trying to imply it is morally bad, just that it is perpetuating illiteracy. Reading is a muscle and it only develops through effort.

I have no problem with people who read fanfic, but I do think thereβs a systemic problem that so many people can ONLY read fanfic or the equivalent of the lightest of light novels
Parents who are content to see their kid read βanythingβ but that thing is exclusively Captain Underpants etc.

Think about all the libertarians you've encountered who will read a book and *entirely* miss the point of the book. Literally not perceiving that the book is describing a dystopia, or identify satire of real world events, or identify who is the villain.
54% of US adults read below 6th grade level.

Ugh I moved from a mail-in state to a vote-at-the-polls state and itβs so utterly backwards. Completely pathetic to have to go STAND IN LINE to vote. mind bogglingly stupid.
I brought my out of state license instead of my passport and it took 30 minutes for them to process me and give me a ballot
