There are definitely reports online of 100ish year old school textbooks with adds in them, though i could not locate concrete proof. I imagine casinos put adds in books at some point, then realize the payout was poorer than their slot machines and stopped.

Nice to see you here! Honestly, your Godot tutorials really helped me get started with gamedev, participated in 2 big game jams and now we're trying to make a MOTAS into a real game. Thanks for all you do!
