"The Heart of a Community" (the exhibition I've worked on over recent months) opens tonight. After the closure of Leith St Andrew's as a place of worship, the exhibition celebrates the church's past and builds towards keeping it in community hands. More info:

Doing Oral History - Leith St. Andrew's Trust Leith St. Andrew's Trust's local history project uses oral history to uncover personal stories, preserve traditions, and offer unique insights into the past.

Been getting out speaking to folk about their lives in Leith St. Andrew's Church, whether as members of the congregation or through the nursery, BB's, foodbank & other community groups. Here's a blog post I wrote about why we do oral history and how it works:

From yesterday, a view out over the landscape where almost all of my life unfolds these days... up and down and back and forth between Leith Walk, the Shore and Easter Road, the occasional journey further afield to follow Hibs, to go up a hill, or to walk a new stretch of the Fife coastal path.
