Our final race meeting of the year last week attracted a crowd of over 1000.

Not bad for a cold Wednesday Afternoon at Hexham! 🤣

We are starting to get in the Christmas spirit here at Hexham!🎄

Olwyn and Michael have done a fantastic job of decorating the trees.

All set for our Christmas Party Nights and Christmas Raceday on Wednesday 11th December.

80 entries for the Border point-to-point @hexhamraces.bsky.social on Sunday - first of provisional six races at 12.30. Delighted to be back!

Michael Morris does a fantastic job of preparing the P2P track for racing.

We are looking forward to hosting the Border Point to Point on Sunday 1st December!

We are so disappointed to have an empty Racecourse this afternoon. However, as always, horse and jockey safety is a priority.

We hope the early call helped everyone who was planning to attend.

Now to look forward to our Christmas Raceday on Wednesday 11th December.

Sadly given a long night of subzero temperatures @HexhamRaces (-1c since 6pm last night till now 8am/wind chill -6c) we are frozen in places and given that temperatures are not set to rise fast enough racing has had to be ABANDONED

Going @HexhamRaces for decs this am remains GOOD- dry over w/e however some small amount of precipitation forecast late Mon/Tues.
Potential issues come in form of frosts. -2c overnight Sun into Mon with further dips Tues & Weds with day time temps struggling to above +3/4c. Regular updates to follow

Going is GOOD with less precipitation expected in next 3 days than originally expected. Clearly we are keeping a close eye on temperatures as things are set to get colder. As & when things happen we will continue up to update.
