RIP Loni Anderson. WKRP IN CINCINNATI was/is one of my favorite series, and I think her Jennifer Marlowe was the heart and soul of the show. It was a sharply funny but also heartfelt performance, and I don't think she was given the respect she deserved.

Remember, when you're directing, if the sun is a bit too high for the shot, simply have the crew lower it.

A while back I started a series of paintings called Alliterutians, where each character had an alliterative name. Got to six before it was overtaken by other projects. Fun, nevertheless.

Exactly how rare is this comic? Just to give you an idea, if you were to try to find a copy of it… you would not.

I watched HELLBOY: THE CROOKED MAN a while ago, and for the most part enjoyed its scaled-down lower-budget backwoods pulpiness. I also thought Irish actress Leah McNamara stole the movie (at least for me) with her electrifyingly malicious (and delicious) performance as sultry witch Effie Kolb.

Here are all eight painting commissions so far, with another on the way. Hoping for enough doubles eventually for a good healthy game of Concentration.

“Break Time” acrylic on 12” X 16” canvas panel. And that’s what it was, quite literally, as I took a break yesterday to paint this in a couple of hours. Kind of like releasing a pressure valve of acrylic paint.

Progress shots of my Lost Skeleton painting. Forgot to take a shot of pencil sketch so earliest stage is where I painted over pencil & washed-in background w/ dioxazine purple. One unusual thing for me was the 4th pic where I digitally painted over previous image as color test prior to final stage.
