needed a reference to draw shadow and felt the intense urge to scream he’s so badass

sonic on the left and tails on the right! sonic’s chest fur is sharp and in the shape of a heart, and his shoes are more detailed. tails, meanwhile is a fluffy fennec fox with is iconic two tails, and wears more browns or dark colors to prevent oil stains and smudges from being as noticeable.

been kinda super busy lately with moving but my gf and i have been playing a lot of sonic frontiers and the adventure series, so i thought it’d be fun to redesign the cast! these are quick sketches i did for fun but ill keep workshopping em :)
