OpenAI posted the terms of the deal. Reveals that it absolutely does allow for domestic surveillance. EO 12333 is how the NSA hides its domestic surveillance by capturing communications by tapping into lines *outside the US* even if it contains info from/on US persons.

The administration is engaged in norm destruction while installing new assumptions about and practices for how AI should be steered and regulated.
Consider: $10 billion in equity stakes in tech firms and a "golden share" granting veto power over corporate decisions. This is not deregulation.

The mirage of AI deregulation
One of the most interventionist approaches to technology governance in the United States in a generation has cloaked itself in the language of deregulation. In early December 2025, President Donald Tr...
𧡠Trump administration AI policy is widely described as deregulatory. This description is misleading. What's happening is not the absence of governance but its rearrangement--intensive state intervention operating through mechanisms we don't typically call regulation. www.science.org/doi/10.1126/...

So I was curious to see if the Falcon LPR cameras had a visibly different design than their Condor human surveillance cams. The pan/tilt/zoom (PTZ) is visibly different but the βfixedβ cam looks identical to the LPRs. flocksafety.com/products/video-cameras

My biggest beef with risk is that it fails to convey point of view. In other words, risk for whom? Itβs a necessarily relative/contextual term that most often is about corporate risk and asset protection. not human risk aka safety (aka product safety).

Thanks for this alertβI will def review the evolving definitions. my biggest beef about defining risk is: risk for whom? Mostly itβs corporate risk not human risk. risk is a necessarily relative/contextual term. these standards seem to constantly conflate human safety and corporate asset safety.
