I got lucky and ended up working in the Senate for 21 years, including 2 majority leaders and one of the greatest legislators in the history of that body. So called “democratic strategist”

Shame on Ohio for handing over personal voter data to DOJ.
While other states DEFEND their voters and elections from Trump’s attacks, Ohio happily gives in.

It is so damning of US news media that so many outlets refuse to just straight up say that Senator Tim Sheehy assaulted an activist.
He did not "help" Capitol police. They did not need his help. He wanted to assault the guy and did. He should resign.
This is the Republican Party now.

Jonathan V Last explains why: "It is just objectively true that the teachings of Jesus are diametrically opposed to the bulk of the Christian nationalist project."

Heads up!
Tomorrow night, Jen will be joined on set by four Democratic members of Congress who have served in the U.S. military to offer their perspective on Donald Trump's war with Iran.

Incidentally, I somehow first learned of this on Xitter from him--he's trying to get in front of it.
Probably end up breaking something else by doing so.
A Tim Sheehy Tweet RTing another Tweet, which posts a video of Sheehy breaking a uniformed Marine's hand, with a community note. As follows: Tim Sheehy @TimSheehyMT Capitol Police were attempting to remove an unhinged protestor from the Armed Services hearing. He was fighting back. I decided to help out and deescalate the situation. This gentleman came to the Capitol looking for a confrontation, and he got one. I hope he gets the help he needs without causing further violence. Quote Alan He @alanhe · 4h Senator Sheehy joined Capitol Police in lifting up and ejecting anti war protestor Brian McGinnis from a SASC subcommittee hearing. McGinnis is a Green Party candidate running for Senate in N.C. An antiwar activist filmed the video below: Readers added context they thought people might want to know The sen. describes this as “deescalation,” but full vid/reporting show he joined officers by physically grabbing the marines leg then his arm breaks. Reports say the protester was treated for an injury after. The marine did not come to start a confrontation, he protested. dailymontanan.com/2026/03/04/mon… x.com/wyattreed13/st…

But you know such things move so slowly in the Senate, it makes molasses laugh.
About the House, it has a very different process. A House censure res can come to the floor directly and a vote forced within days. In the Senate, a res is referred and then must be reported (or discharged)...
Thanks. I knew there was a difference but at my advanced age I could not remember what it was
