Yes, 97 million new jobs will be created. But 77% require master’s degrees. 18% need doctorates.

For every 10 jobs lost, only 6.7 are created in AI fields.

The displaced warehouse worker isn’t becoming an AI ethics officer. That’s not how this works.

THE BUBBLE CONCERNS:

One analyst calls it “the biggest and most dangerous bubble the world has ever seen” 17x larger than dot-com

But where’s the ROI?

But here’s where it gets darker for investors:

JP Morgan’s Jamie Dimon warns of AI stock crash: “There is a higher chance of a meaningful drop in stocks over the next two years than the market is reflecting.”

MIT report: 95% of generative AI pilots FAIL to achieve measurable profit impact.

THE GENDER GAP:

Women bear the brunt.

79% of employed U.S. women work in high-risk automation jobs vs. 58% of men.

Globally: 4.7% of women’s jobs face severe AI disruption vs. 2.4% for men.
In high-income countries, the gap widens to 9.6% vs. 3.2%.

Automation has a gender problem.

MANUAL LABOR:

Even physical work isn’t safe.

Manufacturing: 2 million jobs replaced globally by AI robotics by 2026. U.S. trucking could lose 1.5 million driving jobs by 2030.

Retail cashiers: 65% automation by 2025. Walmart & Sam’s Club eliminating 20,000 positions.

HR DEPARTMENTS:

Automating the automators.

85% of recruitment screening automated by 2027. 90% of benefits administration gone. IBM just laid off 8,000 HR workers as AI agents took over.

The department managing human capital is learning they’re not human capital anymore.

FINANCE:

The algorithms are replacing the analysts.

41% of global employers plan workforce reductions by 2030 due to AI. Finance isn’t immune—it’s ground zero.

DATA ENTRY & ADMIN:

95% automation risk.

7.5 million jobs eliminated by 2027. AI processes 1,000+ documents per hour with 0.1% error rate vs. humans at 2-5%.

It’s not a competition. It’s a massacre.
Manual data entry clerks are watching their entire profession evaporate.

TECH SECTOR:

Eating its own.

First half of 2025: 77,999 tech jobs lost directly to AI. That’s 491 people every single day.

Entry-level positions down 15% year-over-year. Microsoft: 6,000 workers. IBM: 8,000 employees as AI took over HR.

The industry building AI is being rebuilt by it.

CUSTOMER SERVICE:

The first domino falls.

80% automation rate by 2025. That’s 2.24 million U.S. jobs eliminated. AI chatbots save businesses $8 billion annually while customer service reps face an extinction-level event.

The math is brutal: every dollar saved is a human replaced.

The AI market paradox:

But voting is in the Constitution.

Bottom line:
ICE isn’t broken, it’s doing exactly what racialized enforcement systems in America have always done.

If we’re serious about justice, we have to stop pretending this is new, this is America.

After slavery ended, patrols didn’t disappear, they evolved into Black Codes, vagrancy laws, chain gangs.
ICE is the modern iteration: control labor, suppress mobility, maintain hierarchy.

Different language. Same function.

Historically, slave patrols were justified as “public safety.”
Today, ICE uses the same framing, even though immigrants commit violent crime at lower rates than native-born citizens.

Fear is manufactured to excuse force.

Like slave patrols, ICE relies on community fear:
raids at workplaces, courthouses, homes.
Family separation isn’t a bug, it’s the deterrent.

Terror as policy.

Statistics tell the story:
– Hundreds of thousands detained annually
– Most ICE arrests are for civil violations, not violent crime
– Racial profiling documented across states

Enforcement follows skin color, language, and neighborhood.

Slave catchers were financially incentivized, paid per person captured.
Today, immigration enforcement fuels a multi-billion-dollar detention industry, with private prison companies earning per bed, per day.

The profit motive never left.

Then: patrols enforced racialized status (free vs enslaved).
Now: ICE enforces racialized legality (documented vs undocumented).

Both systems criminalize existence, not behavior.

ICE operates on the same logic:
– federal authority
– broad discretion
– civil, not criminal, enforcement
– minimal due process

Immigration law functions as a parallel legal system, just like slave codes did.

Slave patrols were publicly funded, locally enforced, and legally protected. Their job:
– capture runaways
– police movement
– terrorize communities into compliance

They weren’t about “crime.” They were about order.
