Dear @lucympowell.bsky.social,

I have enjoyed our exchange of letters about which of our parties is best placed to stop Reform. Hannah Spencer MP and I trust that you agree that this question has now been resolved once and for all.

Thanks,
Zack Polanski

I was born for this, and I’ve been training all my life. 100% certain I’ve got it in the bag

(Assuming some obvious points here like small street tacos, light beer)

BEHOLD the largest freshwater fish species in the world: the Beluga Sturgeon!

FINALLY got to see one in person at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth along with the @garlab.bsky.social Team at the @mnafs.bsky.social @amfisheriessoc.bsky.social meeting!

What an incredible fish!

Yeah that was my impression, hearing about it secondhand from my students. I literally stopped my (science) class this week to explain the Protocols hoax and how that provides the template for subsequent antisemitic conspiracy theories

Yeah, I’ve heard more antisemitism out of the mouths of my students lately, and they’re definitely absorbing it from socials other than X

The reason you can’t give a single inch on anything be it trans rights or dignity for unhoused people is that they, democrats and republicans alike, will take it and say thanks what else is in your pockets? They won’t say thanks actually.

Trans Continental Pipeline Queer Relocation Nonprofit in Denver, Colorado

MAKE AN EMERGENCY DONATION to Trans Continental Pipeline right now.

They are a Colorado based org that helps trans people relocate there and they are overwhelmed with requests. CO borders KS, and TCP has the infrastructure to help get people out.

GO DONATE.

If an AI can go to school for you what’s the point of going to school? For Advait Paliwal, Brown dropout and co-creator of Einstein, there isn’t one. “I think about horses,” he said. “They used to pull carriages, but when cars came around, I'd argue horses became a lot more free,” he said. “They can do whatever they want now. It would be weird if horses revolted and said ‘no, I want to pull carriages, this is my purpose in life.’”

"horses became a lot more free. they can do whatever they want now.

wild thing to say in a "they shoot horses don't they?" ass world

Chapter 1 of Moby Dick, page 1

The phrase ‘Call me Ishmael’, the first sentence of the book, is highlighted in blue, with careful highlighting on the very big C at the start. Above this, written in ballpoint pen ‘His name’

"Just Walk
Faster"
Isn't Enough

Sometimes frozen poop *does*
fall out of airplane toilets and
land on people walking around
on the ground with enough
force to kill them. And walking
everywhere really fast won't
help.

I think if the word “memorize” were replaced by “store” or “contain”, the headline would be more accurate

zohran increased the number of snow shovelers from 500 to 1,400 for this blizzard, paying them $30/hour to shovel sidewalks with at least a four-foot berth so that wheelchairs and strollers can get through. he didn't overhaul city government to do it, he just used the power given to him and did it!

Renee Good's murderer, Jonathan Ross, has been in DHS for more than a decade, and was himself responsible for training officers.

Don't talk to me about fixing this by "training".

I wanted a greyhound so bad but my wife talked us into a cattle dog. Upsides: incredibly tough & vigorous, great hiking companion. Downsides: views cuddling as a dangerous distraction from her job of barking at delivery people

It’s kind of funny to imagine what Albert Einstein would think of this tool using his name. Like, how mad does a lifelong pacifist have to be before he goes on a blood soaked odyssey of revenge?
