I am beyond enamored to take part in a collaborative effort to put a unique spin on the #apple #macintosh 128K, in a small form factor! I helped to set up a functioning tiny keyboard with a completely custom layout to make it all possible!

This for sure is the ultimate CPU for work and play!

New keyboard build in the works for 2025.

New VR gloves from #UDCAP. Controls are super intuitive and it felt a lot different wearing the controllers than holding them.

Some recent #vrchat photos

Kinda been neglecting social media for a good while. Here's what I've been up to lately:
- new version of 7-in-1 dongle with Index HMD firmware
- 2x24GB DDR5-8200 CL38 graciously donated to me by an experienced overclocker

Leaving Twitter and deleting most of my socials markedly improved my mental health.

DDR5 tuning is quite fun. This Teamgroup 7200 kit performed better than my previous Gskill 6400 kit.

Pushing it to the limit.

Hitting frame caps in smaller instances.

9800X3D's boost frequency of 5.2GHz and overclock to 5.4GHz seems to help.

I wasn't here when I obtained the 9800X3D. It's now in my PC and I'm insanely impressed with the performance. Easy 5.4GHz all cores on a B650E ITX board, and with a 240mm slim rad, maxes out at 80C, 144W. I have done testing in VRChat, will post about that later.

After seeing and reading reviews on the 9800X3D, I have decided to skip this generation. I know a lot of people like myself are curious about VR performance, but the gains seem negligible at best, between 0-20% depending on game or application.

I may end up reviewing my Quest Pro instead.

AMD says 8% faster in games, 15% faster in creator/productivity. Only way to find out is to try it.

Here are my specs for those curious. Just doing a BIOS update and swapping CPUs will make for a more uniform comparison between two CPUs, everything else will remain the same.

I am running manually tuned settings, particularly the RAM so I may do some extra tests regarding that.

Just because I can, and have been requested by peers and friends, I will pick up an #AMDRyzen 7 9800X3D to pit against my 7800X3D in the same system. I may create a thread or write a blog somewhere with all the testing and benchmark stuff.

The main interest for this is VRChat CPU performance.

Daily driving a bare 48-key #keyboard without a case or plate, and blank key caps is one of the wildest things I've done in the last five years.

I always laugh at the unexpected answers!
