Small reminder I am indeed taking a small break this week.

I've been able to sleep peacefully with no stress the last few nights! It's been amazing!

I am here to inform to the bsky audience that I am taking my first Break Week of the year. I know I just came back, but I was working the entire winter break and the exhaustion has caught up!

I will be resuming my activities on the 9th!

"Parenthood urges" Doesn't quite hit the same... I guess "Parental" works? Somehow it just doesn't feel as strong as the other two words.

I'm tempted to just make up a word almost entirely.

And no I will not accept "paternity" as the gender neutral, that feels lazy and wrong.

I froze far too long mid-writing today in realizing there is no gender neutral term for "maternity". It's Maternity (motherly) and Paternity (fatherly). Nothing that encompasses both at once. (if there is, I could not find it)

I guess there's "Instinctive" but that... did not sound right.

It's been a long learning journey for me, and I plan to do so much more with model making in the future!

So, just as I was thinking the QA test things had died down, guess what landed in my inbox moments before bed? It's a fairly good amount for a 3 hour test Stream is not cancelled, but will be moved to a MUCH later timeframe than originally planned for! We're talking about 4:00 PM I know this is inconvenient for a lot of my starlets, and I apologize profusely! But I do need to put tea on the table.

Anyone who knows me knows I struggle with building new skills due to fear of failure.

I am proud of myself for overcoming this, even if it's been slow.

It's been frustrating and fun at the same time.

I don't know how to do something, I step away a moment, think, look for resources, experiment, and try to make it work.

Repeat as needed.

What's kept me going is accepting "failure" as an option. "Failure" being "Not what I expected", but functional
