As of today, Huang has finished 100 km daily for 39 consecutive days.
Now, on December 7, 2025, Huang Zhilong started his own crazy challenge: 10,000 km in 100 days.
On January 11 this year, a female friend even joined him and successfully ran 80 km together.
Then in 2015, Chen Penbin pulled off 100 marathons in 100 days, and I remember thinking, "Thatโs pretty much the human limit right there."
Fast forward to 2017 โ I tried running 10 km daily for 30 days straight, but burned out around day 13. Just couldnโt keep it going.
By 2009, I began attempting 100-km and 60-km hikes โ finished the 60-km twice in about 8 hours each, but never made it through the 100-km. That really showed me how brutal ultramarathons could be.
