Trump's actions in Venezuela fit with his desire to divert attention from his failures at home: his losses in the courts, his unpopular budget bill, skyrocketing health insurance premiums, the cost of living crisis, etc.
When he feels humiliated, he gets reckless.
Understand what's going on.
Something I haven’t captured well above is how many member states have said the future of Venezuela should be decided by the Venezuelan people. That sounds trite but is an argument about where sovereignty ultimately rests.
