We love hummus, so we'll give it a try!

bsky.app/profile/wine...
It means "3 thousand cases per year".
"mil" is not being used as an abbreviation of million.

Winter is definitely over
19.02.2025 15:19 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0I thought we didn't get a lot of wine from Argentina because they drank all of it, instead of exporting it.
And it would be interesting if domestic wine consumption increased, although I don't think we're producing enough.
What about aspiring winemakers, such as yours truly?

when winter arrives.
That doesn't happen with other varieties, so now we're planning on replacing Syrah with a different variety.
We had big hopes for Syrah in our vineyard, since it seems to like warm/hot climates.
Unfortunately we haven't had much success with it, the main problem being that it tends to grow too much when we get rain after harvest (instead of stopping and making reserves).
Then we loose many plants...
Thanks!

The main problem we have is that autumn is practically nonexistent: we go straight from summer to winter.
We've had years where the first freeze is way below freezing and the vines haven't yet hardened.
But we'll keep trying (and hopefully learning)
Hi Jason! How low can it get in Paso Robles?
This past weekend we had the 2nd winter storm and after a tiny bit of snow, we had clear skies and the temp dropped to -11°C (~12°F) and I'm not sure how our vines will take it
10-20 a day? 😳
In how many acres?
This year we've trapped ~45 in our 1 Ha vineyard...
