This week in Art I Am Obsessed With: this self-portrait by Suzanne Valadon. It looks so incredibly contemporary (I would literally wear that exact outfit on hot summer day) but it’s from 1923. Anyway, love a queen with flowy pants and a dangling cigarette!

Based on how this sweater looked on the designer/model at a smaller size, the problem was with my gauge but also perhaps a grading for size issue?

I don’t mind slouchy if it doesn’t look sloppy. 🤦🏼‍♀️ this was also a bottom up pattern which was a new experience as well.

If anyone asks what I’m dressing up as for Halloween this year I’m just gonna take their water, make up a lie, and leave. I’m ChatGPT bitches.

A recent horror story comes from my first attempt at a fingering weight sweater. I thought my swatch was good…it was not. I still haven’t ripped this, but it’s coming. Learning my measurements the hard way.
