I’m really going to try and get back into drawing. I feel like now that we all have a safer space to share our work without running into people who cannot for the life of them use a block button, we can actually share our stuff and be happy again. ❤️

Hey guys, so apparently it needs to be said that tracing another artists work and passing it off as your own for profit is bad. Yeah, hate to break it to you but it’s actually not better than AI art. It’s the same. Both are stealing. Both harm the art community. Both are no-nos.

Please be mindful of this and stop defending a copycat. I hope she takes this hiatus and learns from this. It is absolutely okay to call out bad behavior and still support them and want better. Two things can be true at the same time.

You need to make sure you are giving credit where it’s due. Referencing work is different in that you are using it for inspiration and not full out copying it. There are certainly DTIYS where it’s okay for it to look copied, but even then you are still to credit the original.

Make sure you are crediting the original artist. Especially if you are using them for shading or sketching reference. Also there’s a big difference in using an artists work as a reference and a pose of a real person for your work. Both should be credited and cited. Like any sort of research paper.

I should also mention for those with no nuance skills, that tracing in general isn’t bad. It’s how a lot of artists start out and learn and grow. It’s okay to do it and keep it to yourself. What’s not okay is posting said tracing online and passing it off as your own.

Went out on a limb and got my hair dyed for the first time ever! I’m absolutely in love with it and can’t believe I waited so long to do it! This is the view from the front. My bangs were dyed a little darker blue and all the way around before it blends into a teal green.

This is the view from the side. I’ve kept the diagonal bob cut as well, and will hopefully get my side pieces to be longer so I can get to a more Ramona flowers look.

Bro literally never heard of 'Romanticism' (1790 - c. 1850) and how it's a deliberate rejection of order, harmony, balance, and rationality and celebrates the irrational, personal, emotional, weird, occult, and monstrous by design, how embarrassing 😞

I think its fine to have art content you dont enjoy, approve of or want to see, and establishing a personal boundary is healthy

But as anti-porn and anti-art fascism continues to ramp up i think you need to weigh how publicly calling people freaks, degens, weirdos etc is feeding these attitudes
