I've seen people comparing Beyond to Ocarina of Time in design.

But then I thought about it, and realized that the 27-year-old OoT has more Metroid-like interconnectivity of its zones than Beyond does. Zora's Domain - Lake Hylia, etc.

BOTW/TOTK, Xenoblade Trilogy, Fallout 3, NV, 4 and GTA IV are all examples of great open worlds. Sol Valley unironically feels like it's something from Sonic Frontiers or OOT's Hyrule Field

Metroid 6 comes out. All I hope that Prime 5 or whatever they do next reevaluate it's direction instead of going down the direction of Prime 3 and 4.

Honestly, I been feeling like Metroid as a series, outside of Prime 2 and Dread, is scared of never matching Super. I think needs to look at honestly Metroid 1 to bring new life into instead of being hyper focused on Super.

Prime 4 might be the most conflicted I felt on a Metroid game ever. I don't think it's Other M bad and it's even better than Prime 3 but...

This game feels so awkward next to the original trilogy and especially Dread.

I am currently liking it a lot, but I genuinely feel like this game feels a bit of a retread of Prime 1 and 3's formula. It's basically the Skyward Sword of the series imo.

Sucks to see how it came out after the long wait, but we got Silksong and Dread.

So far, my overall thoughts in Metroid Prime 4 can be summed up in this phrase:

It's the Skyward Sword of Metroid
