Last night in Portland, Portland city council person @candaceavalos.bsky.social woke up to her car and home on fire from suspected arson. She has been a target of the far-right for months, by people like Andy Ngo, who has admitted on court record that his posts targeting people can lead to violence.

He was given a $1,500 bail for the misdemeanor and no bail for the felony, and is still currently in jail, according to ACCPD's log.

God damn that's infuriating to see. I hope they can get some money out of this fucking nazi too.

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals today just decided to green-light this stated plan, granting Trump permission now to deploy National Guard troops into Portland.

In footage he was talking about fishing to the face-tatted skull mask when he pulled up his hood to show his hat, but I haven't been able to find the hat online to confirm yet.

On Fri night 10/17, three skull masked white dudes (people who interacted with them guessed them to be late teens / early 20's) in matching outfits showed up trying to intimidate people. They openly stated they were white supremecists. They were surrounded and then escorted out by cops to safety.

Part of what's happening now was laid out by Stephen Miller on a podcast with Charlie Kirk in early 2024, then shortly after in an article on Feb 8 from The Atlantic. Trump's court losses only lead to further blurring of the lines between "legal" and overt dictatorial power.

From my limited understanding, designating "Antifa" as a FTO would allow prosecutions for material support, broader surveillance, denial of entry into the US of those considered "Antifa", and the deportation of migrants considered "Antifa". Other FTOs include ISIS, the Houthis, and various cartels.

The White House Antifa Roundtable is one of the best displays I’ve seen of this-is-how-bad-it’s-gotten — just a sewer of open fascism, dementia, morons and freaks, and incoherent rage.

Totally get it and I agree / usually try to refrain too 🙏. I’m glad you said something because I was going back and forth before posting. I think it’s partially been the onslaught of relentless neo-nazi messaging from this administration and telegram cess-pools every day too that’s feeding in.
