Yeah, I actually prefer the 6 episode series format of uk comedies as they tend to be better quality, but it makes them a very short lived watch!

his killer being a man who murdered three people including a pregnant woman who he also raped is a perfect demonstration of how β€˜paedophile hunters’ are just violent men looking for a socially acceptable target for their violence

Saw a car with the number plate β€œH4NG10” today, and that could only have been more kiwi if it was a Toyota Hilux.

As a child I was only allowed eggs cooked all the way through because of β€œsalmonella”. In sixth form I went on a geography residential and tried a runny egg for the first time.

I didn’t like it πŸ’”

Oh episode 4 is a bit sad, isn't it?

I am just constantly reminded of the fact Super Hans' band in Peep Show was briefly "Danny Dyer's Chocolate Homonculi" though.

Absolutely devouring Small Prophets. Just the strangest, strangest premise for a sitcom, but it's really good, isn't it?

That is interesting! I've no idea, tbh I thought being iron-deficient would just make me tired, it's astonishing to me that my skin just decided to heal really, really slowly.

(One of the best dance classes I went to was Blues dancing, which in Bristol was completely gender neutral, you just had a quick chat about who leads and who follows. Didn't keep going though because "close hold" was just a bit too intimate for me)

(Although I say this with two extreme left feet and absolutely no talent for dancing, and also quite a big dislike of clubbing. But I do like to dance. I do not dance well, but it's just fun, isn't it? I went to a lindy hop class once and jfc how do you even do that?)

I think it probably is, but you know. Anyway, I think it is sad that going out dancing became whatever clubbing is now (and even clubbing is, I expect, on the way out).

Christ, you can tell I am in deep with critical theory brain at the moment because I was thinking about The Kinks song Come Dancing, and thinking it was sort of sad that people don't "go dancing" any more. Then my brain was like "huh, is the nightclub a symbol of neoliberal hyper-individualism?"

When I came back with super low ferritin (from my immigration medical, which was SO annoying) my GP had me do a FIT test, and that was how I got referred for a colonoscopy. It’s definitely worth asking!

07.03.2026 00:06 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

Anyway if your skin isn’t healing very well, get your ferritin levels checked.

Have had multiple mosquito bites in the last few months and all have healed to completion in about a month. Had one I got in October 2024 in Naples which left a mark until at least May last year. Bodies! Fascinating!

06.03.2026 23:46 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

The skin thing though. So I’d thought I’d just become very prone to scars all of a sudden, as any cuts on my legs in particular would leave a pink mark that just wouldn’t go. Astonishing to find that if my iron reserves get too low my skin just… doesn’t heal properly.

06.03.2026 23:45 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 2    πŸ“Œ 0

So last year it turned out I had basically no iron stores because I had a bowel polyp that had gone undetected. Since getting it removed and my iron has gone back up, I’ve noticed that my skin heals so much better, and my hair is getting even thicker. Also more energy etc.

So Philip Glass just joined TikTok. He only has like 4 posts and they’re simply him in what I assume is his living room playing the piano. First comment on one I saw was β€œyour piano is too close to the fireplace, you’ll dry it out” and if that’s not the internet in a nutshell I don’t know what is.

Tbf I am probably a bit sensitive to the Frith stuff because the NHS said similar to me. I wasn’t even describing social anxiety to them. Just funny that when women get diagnosed people queue up to discredit them.

06.03.2026 10:14 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 0    πŸ“Œ 0

If it was just that I am β€œvery anxious in social situations” why have I had lifelong difficulties with the way others perceive me and sensory stuff?
