Anyone have a favourite program/website for making quite free-flowing mindmaps? I'm looking for something where I can essentially replicate putting post-it notes into groups, and then drawing connections between them.

Incredible self-discovery really, that I’ve always been worse at maths because my brain just doesn’t prefer to think that way, rather than me being a bit thick.

Fascinating really, my wonky, spiky profile brain. When I was tested for dyspraxia I scored quite highly on verbal reasoning, and then just terribly by comparison on non-verbal.

It is surprising that I quite enjoy teaching maths. I do have to hide the fact that my brain is a bit crap at mental arithmetic though. Nothing worse than the kid getting the right answer and you questioning it because your brain hasn’t caught up.

Went for a swim and now I am tired. Which is fair, I literally went for a swim.

Fml, my grad office mate who, when I told him the subject of my research, said “I’m trying to understand the point of that”, has spent the whole afternoon crunching crisps and crinkling the wrapper. I can hear it through my noise cancelling earbuds ffs.

(I mean she basically means stop finding things to add to my thesis proposal, but still, there is simply too much to read)

My supervisor keeps threatening that she’s going to tell me to stop reading soon. Stop… reading?????

Its never EVER about people getting better, or making better lives for them. Its always about how being ill makes people like me uneconomical just for existing in non-perfect health

All we are are units of economic production to these people.

Even though I get paid a LOT less, it’s nice that I get to do this with kids who don’t have the money to pay for tutors.

Something really lovely about getting to work one-to-one on learning with kids. It’s such a rare thing as well, and yet so many children would benefit from it.
