The first woman in Parliament to appear in the Guardian's 'best-dressed at Glastonbury' feature.
You'll never sing that, etc...
I suppose you Could consider the Greens βdivisiveβ in that theyβre the only major party not buying in to the establishmentβs normalisation of right wing bigotry and hypercapitalism

You guys took a hell of a beating.

My comment is going to be this
Using AI in education is like replacing the teacher with some random guy who repeats whatever he has heard down the pub. AI is not intelligent, it makes no judgements about what it hears. In no sense is it a professional tool.
itβs, no joke, the Labour Partyβs birthday today

Labour are all over the place.
Heidi Alexander was this morning claiming that she and Hannah Spencer believed in much the same thing. There was no substantive criticism of the message beyond some muttering about 'security'.
Now Starmer is trying to paint Greens as 'extreme'.
Which is it?
Another forensic choice from Dr Mr Prime Minister Keir Starmer QC KC MD, a real chess player in the political field

SKY: Why didn't you run?
ZP: I've lived in London for twenty years and when there's a by-election there, I'll certainly consider it.
SKY: even though you're a mancunian?
ZP: I don't know if you just misheard me there but I said I'd lived in London for 20 years.
SKY: *angry, confused laughter*
they voted for a woman is a tradesperson, who is led by a leader who is Jewish and gay but Reform say they lost because of Islamists lol

Summary:
The electorate is restless.
Labour is rudderless.
Greens are hope.
Tories are hopeless.
And Reformβs silent majority has once again turned out to be a noisy minority.
anyone familiar with British politics will know that any news that isn't entirely negative will be closely followed by a sustained bombardment of misery that will make you want to fucking die. but currently it's Friday, it's payday, and the fascists have lost

Of course, despite this massive defeat for Labour (and Reform), the government holds the Trump card. To win any election they want, they just need to do one thing:
actually make things better for ordinary people.
This is amazing.
I'm trying to work out if the Tories have ever lost their deposit in England before - they've lost their deposits in elections in Wales and Scotland before, and routinely lose their deposits in Northern Ireland, but I can't find evidence of them ever losing one in England.
I was at the count in Gorton and Denton last night and we all saw Matt Goodwin eat ballot papers. His girlfriend and team begged him to stop but he kept stuffing it into his mouth and making grunting sounds like the Cookie Monster

27.02.2026 10:12 β π 274 π 64 π¬ 2 π 2This is the thing. Their core voters aren't a majority - or even close to it - in many seats. Their policy of getting lots of people to absolutely detest them encourages both higher turnouts and tactical voting. This could mean a great many 2nd places, but few seats.

So many positives about Hannah Spencerβs win, but what stands out is her understanding of the main purpose of an MPβs role being to serve their local constituents, whoever they may be, in the best way possible.
