While chaos in Washington is driving up costs, I'm laser-focused on passing an affordability agenda to help Illinoisans afford housing, utilities, and healthcare.

The reason Illinois is so well-equipped for what we're seeing right now?

We knew how to stand up to a bully.

We are not fighting over policy or political party.

We are fighting over whether we are going to be a civilization rooted in empathy and kindness—or cruelty and rage.

Choose your side.

While American troops were in harm’s way, Trump was wining and dining political donors at Mar-a-Lago.

Donald Trump is once again sidestepping the Constitution and once again failing to explain why he’s taking us into another war.

Americans asked for affordable housing and health care, not another potentially endless conflict.

God protect our troops.

No justification, no authorization from Congress, and no clear objective.

But none of that matters to Donald Trump — and apparently neither do the safety and lives of American service members.

Because that worked out so well the last time.

If Trump wanted to be a real patriot, he would resign.

These are uncertain times, but Illinois will keep pushing forward.
