I guess im too impatient to get into space, i would almost rather we be in space with society as it is now then have to wait. Especially since getting manufacturing in space would allow for some pretty scifi tech that could help the standard of living now. In theory at least.

On one hand, anything in space is better then nothing, on the other i agree, but with a slight alteration, we should be bootstrapping manufacturing capabilities up there. Haul in near earth objects, process down ice asteroids for water and fuel, metallics for zero g forges, make it all automated

New book has a demon/dragon tf sequence and unrealisticly has the main character disgusted, dude, you got a muzzle, sharp teeth (not to mention a 30cm long tongue), and a tail. I know people who would kill for that.
