more on this in the attached but i think about the roles of morticians, embalmers, deacons, and florists quite frequently and how that translates over to a fantasy universe + how i combine it with my own culture. i imagine there would be different elements combined into a 40-day mourning period...

(+) but, if one were to look closely at the siblings, one would notice that khara is more sentimental, leaving behind flowers, gemstones, and jewelry that symbolized how the deceased was in life at their final resting place. where saraana illuminated the way of the lost, khara closed their eyes

khara, on the other hand, was more of a behind-the-scenes foundation that helped in assessing the logistics of what was needed per tribal request. pottery and urns for cremated remains or bones ; occasional orders for coffins, flowers, incense - he oversaw most of that when it happened (+)
