Excalon is actually the existing #RNWH.L vehicle that is buying Emerald Power. Agree that it looks a good fit.

I’m invested in their Solar Fund #FSFL.L which has seen a very weak SP recently and an increasing discount to the last published NAV.

I don’t think Mike Oldfield ever again reached the heights of Tubular Bells. There’s a brilliant ‘Live at the BBC’ recording from 1973 with great guest musicians floating around on YouTube if you’ve ever got a spare 30 minutes.

I remember those listening booths! About 4 of us would squeeze into one to listen to something new on the way home from school. We are talking 1970’s here!

I love visiting these #TMO.L markets when on city breaks - Porto and Lisbon recently - and they always seem busy so there clearly must be something wrong with the business model.

Great choice! I saw them in London on the same tour. They played the whole album live at the Wembley indoor arena. I think it was called Wembley Empire Pool back then. It’s a fantastic album and still sounds fresh today.

Very much a punt but I can’t help thinking the breakthrough in Huntington’s disease treatment being headlined by the BBC today could open up opportunities for AIM tiddler (£10M MC) Ixico #IXI.L which specialises in brain scanning procedures for diseases such as this.

Perhaps you could argue that the reason 70’s comedy is unwatchable now is precisely because it was so successful in lampooning the values of the time and moving everything forward that it left an almost unrecognisable social landscape behind.

But that’s probably enough for a Saturday morning … 😃

Sure, viewpoints have moved on over 50 years but show me a more tightly plotted and scripted comedy series than FT.

It seems they went into FY2025 only half-cocked.

I’d go for The Sting or Butch Cassidy personally. But there are lots of great films to choose from.
