There's still a good shot at Albuquerque seeing snow overnight tonight. Shouldn't cause any major problems for the Thursday morning commute, but roads could be wet. Albuquerque has already seen a trace of snowfall this season, but this could be our first measurable snowfall. #NMwx

⚠️ Winter Wx Advisories go into effect Wednesday afternoon for parts of NM where the heaviest snow will fall through early Thursday AM. Snow could cause icy conditions along I-25 & I-40. A dusting to 0.5" possible in the ABQ Metro. #NMwx

Several inches of snow fell overnight in the northern mountains of New Mexico. Even parts of Albuquerque picked up the first trace of snow of the season! #NMwx

Albuquerque just had it's warmest November on record. All of New Mexico was above average last month. It was the 2nd warmest November on record for the state. #NMwx

UPDATE! ABQ *finally* saw its first freeze of the season Sunday morning! It was reported that it fell below freezing on the 27th, however, the automated station had been reporting unreliable data. NWS staff was able to retrieve accurate data from backup equipment on site. #NMwx

Icy roads reported this morning from the Raton Pass, to the northern mountains, Gallup, and Cuba area. Light snow also fell around Santa Fe and the East Mountains overnight. #NMwx

A quick moving storm will cross New Mexico tonight. Highest snow totals will be in the San Juans with up to 12". Several inches likely in the northern mountains, with a dusting down to the lower elevations in northwest and west-central New Mexico. #NMwx

Still on track for heavier rain and mountain snow to develop tonight across New Mexico. Rain and mountain snow showers will stick around through the day before wrapping up Thursday night. 3-7" of snow is likely above 8,000' with as much as 12" across mountain peaks. #NMwx

⚠️ New Mexico's first Winter Weather Advisories of the season go into effect Wednesday night for the northern mountains. 3-7" of snow is likely, with up to 10" across mountain peaks. 4-8" are likely in the Colorado San Juans.

Albuquerque still hasn't officially seen its first freeze of the season. We are now more than two weeks past our average first freeze on November 3. There's a chance we could get to 32º on Saturday, which will tie for the latest first freeze on record! #NMwx

A storm will impact New Mexico Wednesday through Thursday this week. Snow is likely across the western and northern mountains, with several inches of snow possible up north. The rest of the state will have a good chance for rain, especially Thursday. Storm moves out by Friday morning. #NMwx
