On National Child Day I’m thinking about the kind of Canada we’re building together. 

We made a promise as a country to basic fairness, dignity, and about giving every child the chance to thrive.

Every child deserves a real seat at the table.

Chandra has proven she knows how to win where we haven’t won before. She and her team have won her elections one conversation at the time.

As someone who knows a a little something about that, I deeply appreciate her support and confidence

The minister promised new coal mine selenium regulations to protect our rivers and lakes. Now, instead of providing protection, the Liberals are allowing a dramatic increase in the pollutants going into rivers and lakes.

Tonight I voted no to the Liberal budget. This was not a decision I took lightly. Here’s why I made that call.

Canada’s Minister of Public Safety must immediately investigate and explain to Canadians whether his government believes opposition to genocide and occupation is a threat to national security.

Who made this determination at CBSA – and will the Minister take responsibility for it?

Professor Falk, who was invited to Canada to speak on the subject of human rights and international law, was told he was a potential threat to national security.

This should never have happened and is another example of this Liberal government’s backsliding on universal human rights.

I am alarmed to learn that former UN Special Rapporteur, world-renowned Professor of international law, and Jewish American citizen, Richard Falk, along his wife, legal scholar Professor Hilal Elver, were detained at the Canadian border for four hours.

Homes should be for people, not for profit.

We need to take housing back from corporate landlords.

Our plan will do just that, by building lasting affordability, strengthening tenant protections, and opening new paths to ownership so Canadians can afford to put down roots.
