On International Women’s Day, I’m grateful for the strong women who shaped my life.

I was raised by strong women. I’ve had the privilege of raising strong women. And every day, I’m inspired to work alongside so many incredible women serving the people of Maryland.

I’m grateful for the advocates who show up day after day and proud to stand with the people leading this work across Maryland. Every life is worth fighting for.

And for those caring for loved ones with substance use disorder, or those who have lost someone to addiction, it’s something they carry with them for a lifetime.

Last month, we hosted the second annual Overdose Prevention Advocacy Day on Lawyer’s Mall. But the fight to strengthen policy, sustain our progress, and close the remaining gaps doesn’t happen on just one day — it’s work that continues every single day.🧵

Maryland is stronger because of the traditions and diversity that bring us together.

As we celebrate this vibrant Festival of Colors, I extend my warmest wishes to all Marylanders observing Holi. May this joyous time honor the triumph of good, welcome the promise of spring, and bring families and communities together in celebration.

SquashWise opens in downtown Baltimore’s historic former Greyhound station SquashWise, a program to introduce youth to the racket sport, has opened the SquashWise Center in Baltimore’s historic former Greyhound Station on North Howard Street.

This week, I was proud to join Baltimore SquashWise for the ribbon cutting of their new center in West Baltimore — a powerful example of what it looks like to invest in young people and in community.🧵

Black history is not separate from our story — it is central to it. From Harriet Tubman to Thurgood Marshall, Maryland has helped shape the arc of justice. The Moore-Miller administration is committed to continuing the work of building a Maryland where equity and opportunity go hand in hand.

Honored to join Gov. Wes Moore and so many leaders, families, and young people at Government House to celebrate Black History Month and the legacy, resilience, and brilliance that continue to shape our future.

I’m grateful for their partnership and for the courage they bring to this work—many sharing their own stories to push for change.

Students asked thoughtful questions about ethics, jobs, & accountability in an AI world. We discussed how Maryland is already using AI to better serve residents, while committing to transparency and responsible leadership.
