There are entire "expat" compounds in Riyadh and other Saudi cities rivalling the lavish lifestyle offered in places like Dubai and Abu Dhabi, kinda floored that you don't know that and would imply I was being ignorant by mixing up the two places.

If I make a mistake by all means correct me but how can you not know that SA is a giant tourist destination and that it draws a massive amount of foreign workers through the promise of a luxurious, safe, high-end lifestyle?

Sorry but not only do I clearly know the difference, Saudi Arabia has around 14 million so-called expats, around 40% of its population - many being drawn by the offer of lavish lifestyles; it is also one of the world's quickest growimf tourist destinations (>110 million last year).
