This is what happens when societies lose their principles and means of mutual accountability. This plays into the broader rise and cultural acceptance of antisocial behaviour and petty, casual criminality.
Itβs time to bring back consequences.

America fought WWII to protect its economic and security interests. The notion that it was some sort of selfless defence of ideals is, frankly, ridiculous.

Itβs a disgrace, for sure, but not nearly as severe as it should be. Unfortunately.
The boat strikes are illegal. Dope couriers are not military combatants. So killing them with air strikes instead of arresting them is murder. Itβs that simple.

Oh yeah?
We are at the cross-roads. Southern Command level admirals are violating the military code & committing murder under the orders of the President & Sec. of Defense, involving Seal Team 6. If they are not court-martialed, we are at coup-level military corruption.
Many of us have been sounding the alarm on this issue for a long time.
The military is known to violate US and international law on instruction. Torture, extrajudicial killings, illegal invasions, etc. There is no reason to believe that they will ever do anything other than follow their orders.
Trump dozes while Marco Rubio speaks to him directly next to him. Just insane optics.

Obeying illegal orders is illegal.
The arrogance/incoherence of freeing one narco-trafficking former head of a "narco-state" while threatening to turn the wrath of the US military on another (and killing off alleged footsoldiers without due process along the way) is breathtaking. Trump loves criminals...if they bend the knee to him.
