For years I have enjoyed reading random selfpub MM romance novels of questionable editing quality because they can be a lot of fun! Now when I look for new books, the market is flooded with AI covers and presumably AI writing. AI ruins everything.

I wonder if the MM romance writers self-pubbing on Kindle know I'm skipping their books because I can tell their covers are AI?

Like it doesn't inspire confidence that the book is human-written, either.

I’m usually lucky enough to find one great horned owl a year, and I saw this one blending with branches in a scraggly forest on Sunday, buffeted by a harsh wind. I share its look of resignation – I am done with this winter, even if it isn’t done with this owl and me. #birds

Her latest album, which was released independently, has "universal acclaim" from Metacritic and it's so deserved. I've been following her since her 2023 EP and could not be happier with how good her debut album turned out. Let's all make this a hit together.

My least humble brag is that I have a history of falling in love with artists before they become cool. I was right about Charli xcx, Raye (who I learned about on Charli's 2017 mixtape), even Janelle Monae who I first heard when Many Moons dropped. So believe me, you gotta listen to Hemlocke Springs.

Today is #WorldWildlifeDay and I have been fortunate to experience so many magic moments with wildlife. We need to continue to work towards protecting wildlife and the places that they call home.
