Today was the perfect day, the absolutely perfect day, for my perfect wife to schedule my early birthday gift. Enjoying the daylights out of Weird Al live in concert. Puddles Pity Party did fantastic as the opener.

After 3+ weeks requesting a letter from my chain of command to help me stand a chance with the next promotion board, I was told at the end of the day today (the due date) it wasn't going to happen. More or less. Gently. Just disappointed I wasn't told "no" in the first place weeks ago.

I spent 4 hours today summarizing 4 of Ennis' comics for our official reading list. Took a few hours' break, revisited, rewrote, got my points over much more clearly. 2 more to go.

Trying to finish it all tomorrow. If the job hadn't been so damn busy, I could have made this happen a week ago!

That said $3 sounds like a steal and my 7 and almost-3-year old enjoy Spider-Gwen.

I took my first-printing copy to a signing (no CGC), had it made out to a friend (got the spelling of her name wrong cuz I'm a garbage friend!), then 7 years later someone related to the book got in some pretty serious trouble, and I can't look at that cover without hitting my head against a wall.

3D printer booth at the local Farmer's Market. Very well done stuff, kiddo wanted to buy everything until he tried the first piece on!

My best pal bought it for me. Easily sunk 200 hours in. Loved the hq dynamic, spending time with pals, building friendships. Great gameplay that reminded me of Final Fantasy Tactics with role-playing that built on X-Men Legends.
