Had the final dnd session today and I'm feeling so disappointed and emotional.

Sad because it's ending and that it was rushed.

Disappointed because it was a lackluster final battle and character things.

I didn't feel my character was important as we played this last battle and session.

It's nice to have friends over, but as the #AuAdhd person that I am I'm so tried because my routine is messed up and my social battery has been dead even before they came 🥲 and since it's a storm here they'll need to stay longer

Tomorrow it's Christmas or Jul as we call it here in Sweden.

I haven't had any holiday spirit at all for many years now and I'm going to my parents house tomorrow and I'm not looking forward to it.

Mio isn't there anymore so it will be so empty and dealing with my father will be a struggle

This has been an eventful week, I manged to get back to work even if I wasn't ready and had the worst period pains in the world and not only that but some people set fire to a car a few meters away from where I live.

And I probably saw the silhouette of the people who did it

I'm heartbroken to post this because I don't know how to move on from this pain but Mio got worse and he had to walk over the rainbow bridge 💔 this hurts so much and I don't know if there's a reason to be alive

But the thing is that I like to sing and I want everyone to hear the songs I like, to get the feelings I'm getting, I want to make an impact on someone with a song, help someone with a song like what the original artist had done to me.

And I was already a bit sceptical about being in the band, especially now when depression hit me hard and now this.

I feel we are already too many people in band so I might leave because it's too much for my AuAdhd brain and I wanna sing songs that I want to sing, not cater to other people.

But now we are more people in the band and the times we have performed it has been a mix of ages in the audience.

And it's also about evolving as a band together but also as people by doing new things, doing what's uncomfortable and get better.
We'll never get better if we do the same thing.

And hearing this from this person kinda changed my view on them.
Because it sounds like such a close minded thing to say.

To quote them:
"We are supposed to perform for older people and that means no English songs because they don't know them."

Maybe that was what the band was in the beginning

Because like what artists sing songs other people wants to hear?
The artists are performing songs THEY want to, not songs that other people want to hear. Or well I think you guys get it.

I as the singer/performer should decide what I want to do, not what old people might like and just cater to them

Sooo like first this person complained about the fact we're getting another member in the band who "can't sing"

But then they also keep on putting me down for wanting to sing in english

BECAUSE we are supposedly going to perform for older people and we need to perform what they like.
