Oil painting of a single jellyfish drifting through deep, dark blue water. The jellyfish has a translucent, glowing bell-shaped top with long, delicate reddish-brown tendrils trailing beneath. Its body shimmers with soft hues of cream, gold, lavender, and blue, blending into misty, cloudlike forms that give a sense of movement and fluidity. The background is a dark, speckled oceanic space, enhancing the ethereal, luminous quality of the jellyfish.

I just discovered Bridge Grades! A non-profit scoring politicians on how well they work to seek common ground.
Such a great approach to breaking this politics polarized-as-sports-teams mentality! Substack link for Bridge Grades: bridgegrades.substack.com

Oil painting of a dog named Lolo, sitting on a couch looking lovingly left.
I'm creating surprise gifts for people. It helps me get through the news. Selfish dopamine hit really, and a vote for goodness over schmuckery. An oil portrait I dropped off to my unsuspecting neighbors - their dog, Lolo. Good timing too, it made them smile the same day their aunt passed.

I love the hint of context in the distance - it's a fabulous still life and landscape combined.

Brine, Ice, and the Soft Machinery of the Universe - oil on panel. These oysters lived a quiet six years in the Bellamy before involuntarily contributing themselves to a magical summer evening.

I just submitted βThermals, Vorticies and Other Unseen Bureaucracies of Flightβ 13.5 x 25.5 to the NH Art Association exhibit - Atmosphere - March 5 - 30. This crow was playing around with a twig and another crow. Nest building? Just screwing around? I joined them for a few minutes - in my mind.
