What a label. Apparently Zinfandel vines look like tangled knots!
This tastes a little lighter than other Zinnies. A tangle of blackberry, blackcurrant and a hint of vanilla.

Oh WOW! This Pentuma Primitivo from Italy is sensational. Quite strong at 15% but very fruity and spicy.
Got this one from Virgin Wines and would definitely choose it again.

A new Zinfandel for us - but it’s Old Vine and un surprisingly is very good.
Usual deep fruit and a bit of spice.
A strong one too at 14.5%.
Not quite as good as Ravenswood Lodi or 1000 Stories Bourbon Barrel - but it’s not far behind

The French wine is bright and has subtle hints of chocolate and cinnamon (which often makes wine heavier).
Not a massive fan of French wine but this is a solid 7/10.

Got a @lego Concorde for Christmas. 2083 parts in 21 bags.
I did 2 bags today.
Forgot Xmas day is also a Thursday we drank half of this before I realised it could be our #RandomRedThursday.
This Iconoclast red wine is a 2022 Pinot Noir direct from the Domine Fouassier Winery in France. A present from our son.
Earthy, even slightly musty. But it has a great flavour.
8/10

This CARPINETO Dogajolo from Tuscany’s Chianti region has the taste you would expect from a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet and other varieties.
It’s quite brutal and takes few sips to mellow.
Got Christmas vibes from the label and it was only £8 so bloody good value.
