Don't forget checking through available themes for a few days just in case there's one you like better than your current one, trying a new theme, and then just going back to your old faithful theme.

Thanks to you, Chrissy, for supplying a decent dose of jet fuel to get this off the ground!
#BurntToast v1 is LIVE!
#powershell toastit.dev/2025/07/22/b...
In gearing up to release #BurntToast v1.0.0, I'd love to highlight some interesting (either visually or technically) uses of the module. If you're able to share an example, that you don't mind my including in a blog post, please let me know! #PowerShell

19.07.2025 11:55 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I've just released a new preview version of the #BurntToast #PowerShell module. If you had tried out the previous preview version, do note that I reversed course on doing a full re-write and so this is much more similar to v0.8.5.

This is the module I use when I travel. I can run commands on my home machine while traveling. No VPNs, port forwarding, or PowerShell Remoting required. #PowerShell github.com/jdhitsolu...
03.06.2025 13:46 β π 7 π 3 π¬ 1 π 0If you do dive into it, stay away from the preview versions... they were the start of a re-write that I won't be following through on when I come to _actually_ do a v1.
And for progress bars, this may be a head start: toastit.dev/2017/04/29/c...
Neat!
29.05.2025 21:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'm now getting that fulfilment in my current role and so the _need_ to do more outside of work isn't there anymore and so other priorities (like family!) get the focus they deserve instead.
No regrets at all, just an observation I found interesting.
I've done some thinking on this over the last year or so and came to realize that "back when" I did a lot of community work to challenge myself and get fulfillment to technical itches mainly because those itches weren't being scratched at work.
29.05.2025 21:17 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 2 π 0I didn't... looking now!
29.05.2025 21:15 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Also getting a wave of guilt at the moment for not having given this project any love for a long time.

Very grateful to everyone that has used BurntToast over the years, and especially those that have given feedback/reported bugs, etc.

The more skilled you are at a given task, the less useful youβre likely to find LLMs for said task. Itβs not that every LLM detractor has never used a LLM before, itβs more likely youβre just bad enough that the LLM seems good in comparison.
