"Madoka Magica" was among the few sources of inspiration I could find that followed this eerie style, as well as French Illustrator "Guy-Pascal Vallez".

on a more serious note, i find it rlly fun how morgy keeps little "trophies" involving the men who have tried and failed to control him. the eye of the priest who shattered his faith. a "statue" of a former suitor. naming janremi after someone who kidnapped him and tried to force him into marriage.

a handful of the manufactory workers think it's the funniest shit ever teaching this weird little bird how to build explosives, operate mch tools, etc. and morgy, despite his extreme levels of concern, just wants to support his son in his hobbies. he will do anything for this funky chocobo chick.

janremi, the little red chocobo chick, named for morganaux's late fiance janremi de durendaire, and who is also a machinist in training with his very own job stone. he was just supposed to be a silly morgy moment but morgy has become the biggest dad guy for his weird bird son.
