I have to be honest. I think this might be a dysfunctional work environment.

From experience, it does suck to feel like you're not racist or sexist and have people get mad at you because you are wrong about that, but it is really really not as obvious as people on the internet like to believe it is to not be racist until you immerse yourself in a diverse community like NYC.

One of the maybe obvious aspects of this that is possibly overlooked is that a lot of America is just very segregated and people may not intend to be racist, but have no experience interacting with dissimilar people and are predictably bad at it. Racism is the default here and has to be unlearned.

I gotta be real. I've daydreamed about burning down the white house too many times to give any fucks about tearing it down for a renovation.
