Certainly not everyone in that income bracket, but a lot of people in that income range are professionals in the early years of their career who are at the same time juggling large amounts of student loan debt.

The problem with where the cap currently sits in the next $50-$70,000 of increase is that that will disproportionately affect professional professionals, many of whom are already in short supply and lots of areas of the country.

I think maybe you mean removing the cap? The cap already increases automatically annually.
